Hay all,

I want to start playing dota on the net but i cant find a local server.

Can someone that plays is please point me in the right direction

 Defense Of The Ancients
Dota is just an expansion of WOW but it's a very cool game to play there is a new version that you can called HON(Heroes of New Earth) but someone must send you an invite for that .

I havent played Dota in ages cos I havent lanned or played online in a while maybe the Noc members can have our own little slot to play Dota online its cool to play once you understand the meta game and the endless builds for your heroes it will take you a few solid months to learn all the classes and builds but thats why it so awsome to play.

No it aint Razz Dota is simply a map used with warcraft3:the frozen throne's game mechanics... WoW = world of warcraft = entirely different thing. Either way I think dota is fun, but from what i've heard its very competitive. HoN is basically 100% dota, just with updated graphics, different hero names and different item names. I don't think it'll be free once officially released.. Looks nice tho!

Hmm... this is true. I was introduced to the game by a friend, then started playing for about 2 years or so. I wont lie, I LOVE that game, if you spend time getting good and experiencing end-game its a great game. But that's the problem, its not like DotA or CSS, where you can just log in and play one game for about 30mins or so... In wow you have to spend time to get to the top. I was addicted, without a doubt, played from the moment I got home from University till 1-2 am... I was good though, very very good, so the game experience was also good. Smile

But my account got hacked which kind of ruined the game experience for me and I stopped playing for about a year. Started again for about 6months where I pretty much just got bored and decided that life isn't worth wasting on wow... That 1 year I stopped playing was nice, had so much time on my hands Laughing . I still miss it though, if I could play now I would but I cancelled my account... Guess its for the best.

Hey guys sorry about the wrong game being used as a comparison to DOTA anyhooo haaah ahhaaa

I prefer playing racing simulators LFS (Live for speed a true and proper racing sim and nfs shift with a few mods)

Laughing I didn't mean it in that sense. I don't mind playing it, it's cool but I don't like it cos it takes too much time.

I'm happier just being able to get into a game and play it and not have to worry about finishing every mission and waiting for rewards, etc (I do sometimes get caught up in a few mini games though)
I also have Uncharted 2 to start playing but because it mission based not really ready to start.

 didnt play this game in a long time, just installed it, signed in with new account (forgot my old account login details Rolling Eyes) but completely forgot how to play LOL
